In this guide, I will go into a lot more detail about how to do niche research to find the ideal niche you have been looking for.

I assume that you have a list of niches if not read the first blog, brainstorm some niche topic then let’s check whether the niche you have listed is good enough.

People often get stuck right over here or get in the wrong path of niche research. They select any random niche they want to do and starts doing business on it.

Well I say, you are doing it wrong.

Yes, this is not the best way to do niche research. You are not going to earn a hundred dollars just by picking a random niche.

Panicked! Don’t worry I am here for the rescue. My guidance will help you on how to do niche research the right way.

Before diving into how to do niche research first let’s talk about the niche that you have selected is either a passion or profit niche.

If you are passionate about something or you are skilled employee then you should start blogging about something that you are passionate about. However, if your focus is to earn money from the internet then you should choose the niche that will give you a quick profit like by doing “Affiliate marketing” or “Google AdSense”.

Niche can be either passion or profit. It’s up to you whichever you would like to choose.

Let’s talk about them in more depth.

Passion and Problem-

Firstly let’s clear up “passion” as it’s a strong word. Don’t get confused with the word “passion”. You don’t have to be absolutely crazy about niche to succeed.

And it could even be a problem area in your life, like a financial issue or health issues, that you are knowledgeable but not exactly passionate about.

What matter is that you should choose a niche that you are interested in and have some knowledge about it. It should be something that doesn’t bore you to death since you will need to spend a lot of time working on it. So all you need to do is:

  • List all your hobbies and interest, to begin with, one list.
  • List any problems you have faced in life like a financial problem, love life, and any other day to day challenge.

How to do Niche Research


If you want to earn money quickly through internet marketing. Affiliate marketing and Google AdSense are probably the best way to earn money online.

Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other products. You will earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make when you promote it to others.

To find a profitable niche all you need to do is:

  • Examine trends and market on the website like Amazon where they sell lots of varieties of products.
  • Select one of their product category to begin niche with. E.g. – Women clothing.
  • The best way would be – look at their best selling products categories and select one of them.

How to do Niche Research

Now you have a pretty good idea of what niche to get into. Maybe you haven’t narrowed your list down to a single topic area, but I assume you might have found a few ideas that you feel pretty good about.

Let’s check the list you have created whether it belongs to passion or profit niche.

Furthermore, we also need to check the niche you have selected is really worthy enough. Broad Niche, Narrow niche, Passion Niche, Profit Niche all of them are just a basic part of Niche Research. The real hero has not made the entry yet.

For an instance the niche you chose doesn’t have enough searches on the internet then it’s a waste of time, money and effort. Well, certainly you don’t want that. Search Volume (S.V), Competition, Cost Per Click are some of the metrics that you should not avoid while doing niche research and not to forget your competitors too.

Thus there are lots of factors to consider while doing niche research.
